In light of the recent pandemic, we took two important measures that focused on mental and physical health.
On order to know the pulse of our supply chain, our team contacted each dealer and fencing contractor during the lockdown period. It was noted that most of the dealers are under stress because of the lock down. So, we conducted a motivational and informative online session for them on April 16th. An expert faculty from Farook Institute of Management, Prof. Muhammed Riaz led the session – “Let us unlock our mind for post lock down strategies”. A total of 81 dealers attended the session. We received positive feedback from them as the class was more concentrated on post lock down strategies to be adopted by dealers.
Second, we developed an SOP for loading and unloading material at our stockyard. This helps us keep a check on the safety factor in COVID times. We aspire to put in place a similar SOP for all aspects – sales force, order booking and journey plans.

The collaboration of Tata Steel UK, WTG, M&S and operation team lead to the development of secondary coating over the GI wire called “Aayush” which helps double the life and withstand increasing chemical impact. This gives the end consumer a trouble-free product that lasts long and helps them identify the right product. Scientists form UK along with the wire technology group had undertaken laboratory trials to test the product performance. The operation team stabilized the product within specified time limit and the M&S team helped in advertising and increasing the sales volume.
